Data Deletion
This page belongs to Optunia Investments, LLC ("Optunia"), the developer that publishes apps on Google Play under the developer name Resident_Genius. The short version
Optunia apps have no user accounts and no sign-ups, and Optunia operates no servers that receive your personal information. There is no Optunia database with your data in it. Services Portal is the exception: its information is held on your organization's portal - see the Services Portal section below. Almost everything an Optunia app stores lives only on your own device, and you delete it yourself, instantly, with the steps below. The one exception is advertising data in our games, which is handled by Google AdMob — the section after next explains how to delete or reset that.
Delete data stored on your device (all Optunia apps)
Recipes and batches in Batch Balancer, learner profiles and progress in Flash+, and game progress, coins, and settings in our games are stored only on your device. To delete them:
- Inside the app: where an app offers delete or reset controls (for example deleting a saved recipe, a learner profile, or a saved game), using them removes that data immediately.
- Clear the app's storage: on Android, open Settings → Apps → [app name] → Storage & cache → Clear storage. This permanently deletes everything the app stored on the device.
- Uninstall the app: uninstalling any Optunia app deletes all of its on-device data with it.
Deletion by any of these methods is immediate and permanent, and Optunia keeps no copy — we never had one.
Services Portal
Services Portal stores its information on your organization's portal, not only on your device, so deletion works differently from our other apps. Requests you submitted, comments, photos, and your portal account are held on your organization's portal. To delete them, contact your organization's portal administrator, or email [email protected] naming your organization and the account or requests concerned. We will complete or route the request and confirm by reply within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes its locally cached data from your device, but does not delete your portal account or submitted requests.
Delete advertising data (our games, Google AdMob)
The Android versions of our games show ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure those ads, Google — not Optunia — may process device identifiers (including your Android advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad-interaction information, under Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Optunia receives only aggregate reports and cannot delete Google's records for you, but you can delete or reset the identifier those records hang on at any time:
- On Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some devices: Settings → Google → Ads).
- Choose Delete advertising ID to remove it entirely, or Reset advertising ID to replace it with a new one that is not linked to the old data.
You can also review and delete activity Google associates with your Google account at https://myactivity.google.com, and manage ad personalization at https://adssettings.google.com.
Request deletion by email
If you would like Optunia Investments, LLC to confirm the position or help with a deletion, email us at [email protected] with the app name and a description of your request. Because our apps collect no personal information and keep no accounts, there is normally no Optunia-held data to delete; if your request concerns anything we do hold (for example, an email you sent us), we will delete it on request and confirm by reply. We respond to deletion requests within 30 days.
